Benefits Of The Blue Jay Tiny House Plan
- Extra office space, workshop, or spare room
- Patio doors, folding porch, and large living room
- Tons of storage and a large sleeping loft
The Blue Jay Tiny House Walkthrough
As you enter The Blue Jay from your fold up porch, you notice the large living room with end tables, a couch, and a space heater. This large living space is brightly lit by all the windows, and skylights, giving it an open feel.
As you walk to the right of the entrance the next room is your kitchen. The kitchen is equipped for a stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, sink, and counter space. There is also ample room for storage, such as cabinets, shelves, and drawers.
The bathroom is moderately sized, with a shower, sink, and toilet, which can be compost or septic.
Beyond the kitchen and bathroom, is the spare room. This room is great for an office, small work space, or even a bedroom. Not many tiny house plans incorporate a spare room on the first floor, so this is cool.
Above the kitchen is the large sleeping loft, which makes for a wonderful master loft. There is ample space for the bed, and walking space, along with outlets, and windows for light. The only downside to this large loft is the removable ladder you need to use to get to it. If you don’t want to climb to your bed every night, you may want to build a small set of steps in your plan, or view a different house layout.
Across the open space, and above the living room, is another small loft for storage. Storage can be a very vital thing to have when living in a tiny house, and the storage in The Blue Jay tiny house plan is abundant.
